Spacecraft Operations Engineer (m/f)

Are you looking for a new and interesting activity in one of Europe’s most outstanding projects in the area of operation of navigation satellites? This could be your field of responsibility:

  • Become a member of the Galileo Satellite Operations Team
  • Specialise on preparation, validation and execution of operations related to the datahandling, TTC and Payload subsystems
  • Prepare Flight Operations Procedures (FOP)
  • Adapt procedures to new databases and procedures delivered by industry
  • Define validation scenarios
  • FOP validation, testing, result reporting
  • Preparation of and participation in SVTs and simulations
  • Test and validation of operational items like CSIM, ASW, ODB, SCCF, MOIS
  • Participation in and provision of training (spacecraft subsystems, Ops tools, Ops concepts)
  • Anomaly Reports handling (writing, action processing, support of review boards)
  • Support of routine, special and contingency operations during PF Commissioning, IOT and routine phase inclusive provision of shift and on-call support
  • Provision of on-call service for the assigned subsystems during routine phase
  • Offline analysis of the subsystem performance
Your profile requires

  • A scientific or technical degree or equivalent qualification
  • Proven experience in the field of satellite control
  • Good English language skills
  • Readiness to take on responsibility and good team and communication skills
  • EU citizenship.
In addition the following experiences are considered as an asset

  • Experience in testing or operations of satellites
  • Knowledge of the Galileo project
  • Knowledge of SCOS and MOIS
